Resumen (ES)
Resumen (EN)
Trapecectomy associated with ligamentous reconstruction is the most widely used technique for the treatment of trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis. Despite the high success and satisfaction rate of this technique, it sometimes fails and represents a surgical challenge for the orthopedic surgeon. The main cause of revision is pain due to the collapse of the first metacarpal over the scaphoid. Surgical options are multiple without a consensus on the best technique to salvage this complication.
