A total of 67 cases of B3 type fracture of the distal
radius treated in our Department are presented. A volar plate
was used as fixation method in 30 cases, Kirschner wire in 19
cases, external fixator in 17 cases, and external fixator plus
Kirschner wire in 1 case. The best results were obtained in
the group of cases treated with a volar plate (90 percent of satisfactory
results).
