Resumen (ES)
As you well know, obesity is a current health problem. According to the National Health Survey in 2017, 17.43% of
Spaniards suffer from it. Furthermore, in our consultations, patients with concomitant arthropathy and obesity are a
recurring problem. Currently, there are safe and effective medications for weight loss, which we as orthopedic surgeons,
with adequate knowledge, can prescribe in search of improving the health of patients and surgical results. In this short
summary we try to bring this knowledge to specialists in our field
