Resumen (ES)
We present a case of posterolateral traumatic dislocation
of the left hip in a six year old girl. The mechanism of
injury is rare; another child felt on her back. Treatment consists
of closed reduction under general anesthesia and
immobilization of the hip. After thirty-six months atomical and
functional result of the hip were good. Potential associated
injuries include fractures and neurovascular injury, whereas
avascular necrosis and degenerative joint disease are potential
sequels. Optimal treatment should be immediate reduction
of the dislocated hip in order to minimize the risk of avascular
necrosis of the femoral head.
