Resumen (ES)
The aim of this study is to establish an approach to the reference pattern of biomechanics and fatigue response of the biceps brachii, A biomechanical study was performed in 37 healthy male subjects. Maximum voluntary contraction of the flexion of the elbow before fatiguing was 266.8 ± 58,7N in the dominant arm and 258.2 ± 59,4N in the nondominant. It decreased until 211.5 ± 53N and 205.3 ± 56,5N respectively after the fatigue test (p <0.001 for both). Time until exhaustion was observed at 160.7 ± 72.8 s in the dominant arm and 156.7 ± 68,7s in the nondominant. Maximum voluntary supination decreased from 208.7 ± 54N and 207 ± 54,8N in the nondominant before the fatigue test; MVS decreased until 194.1 ± 66,6N and 192.8 ± 66N respectively after the fatigue test (p <0.001 for both). No significant differences in the biomechanical study between age subgroups were observed.
