Resumen (ES)
We present a vertebral primary chondrosarcoma in
a 17-year old male who was treated by surgery, radiation and
chemotherapy. Local recurrence with durai invasion occurred
after 5-years of follow-up. The patient was reoperated,
performing a spinal cord and roots decompression but, due to
tumor invasion, there was no neurological recovery, with an
incomplete spinal cord syndrome remaining. The spine is an
unusual location for this tumor, being difficult to good surgical
margins due to the proximity to neural elements, however, it is
a rare complication to find durai invasion. Because of these
findings this is very interesting case and our results are comparable
to formerly published articles.
