Ankle osteoarthritis is the final stage of post-traumatic or rheumatic processes affecting the joint.So far, in advanced stages, the proposed treatment of these patients was the tibio-talar fusion, which is done arthroscopicallychoice providing there are no alterations of axes. With a severe disruption of axes in the lower limbrealignment of self improvement often painful clinic. After the initial failure of ankle arthroplasties, the currentthird generation present a more promising short and medium term. The indication of arthrodesis or arthroplastyshould be individualized for each patient according to their personal and anatomical characteristics.
