Resumen (ES)

The surgery of meniscal pathology is one of the most common procedures in orthopedic surgery.Studies in recent years have led to a modification of the treatments and approaches before meniscal tears. Themeniscal suture treatment of concomitant injuries such as anterior cruciate ligament injuries or chondral lesions, improved clinical outcomes. At the same time, problems of meniscectomy in an increasingly demanding andathletically active population arise. The realization of meniscal allograft transplants or use of meniscal implantsact as scaffolds have been a major advance in the clinical improvement of a growing number of patients who needa solution for postoperative painful knee. Currently, other researchs as tissue engineering or the use and developmentof new adhesives provide further improvement in achieving the best results.
