Objective: Clinical- radiological and functional outcomes in the treatment of distal radius fractureusing Kirschner wire fixation. Analysis of the different fixation techniques described in literature as amended.Methods:An observational, descriptive, retrospective study of a series of 49 patients with distal radius fracture treated between the period of 2009 and 2012 is presented. Evaluation of clinical and radiological results in each group of treatment according to the technique. Results: Good results using percutaneous pinning with K-wire in extraarticular fractures with instability criteria and dorsal conminution. Conclusions: This treatment provides asuitable method in the management of distal radius fractures, especially in simple fractures or with dorsal conminution and good bone stock. It also represents a fast, simple and economic technique booming in time of cost containment.
