Conservative treatment of acetabular fractures in elderly

The proposal of this study was to study the outcomes obtained with conservative treatment of acetabularfractures in elderly. Materials and Methods:We conducted a retrospective study on a total of 32 patients, includinganalysis of demographics, fracture type according to the classification of Judet Letournel, complications, andmortality results, and seeing the degree of statistical correlation between them. Results: Of the 32 cases reviewed, themajority were male (20 cases), aged 62-91 (average 78,75), fracture type D (19 cases) C (9 cases), achieving a goodfunctional results in more than 80% of cases, and year survival of 84,4%. Conclusion: Conservative treatment of acetabularfractures in the elderly should be considered a good therapeutic option, specially in cases where there is a highsurgical risk.
