The recent application of the microscope with monosegmental surgical approach in the treatment of lumbar disc protusions needs a more precision regarding the afected level.In 53 opelrated patients, the relation between tbe clinical, radiological, electromiographi and myelographic findings was studied, using W Kendall's and Spearman's test. Diagnostic methods of surgical level and localization results were compared and correlated. The myelographic surgical findings r = 0.7098 (p < 0.0005) were shown to be the best metbod of localizing the affected level.
