389 cases of osteoarthritis of the knee treated in the Orthopaedic Institute Rizzoli along 1961-1971 are reported.The difierent techniqueS used are being analised. High tibial osteotorny gave 89'57% of good results. The importance of the release of the «pessanserinus» is emphasized.
