El hemartros a tensión como modelo experimental de artropatía hemofílica

An experimental model oi haemophylic artropaty in growing dogs by means of high pressure hemartros in the knee joints produced by anastomosis of the popliteal artery side by side with a posterior aspect joint capsule is developed.Twenty animals were used, being sacrified between 24 hours to 8 weeks after the operation. The produced hemartros maintained a pressure of 120=140 mm. Hg. during 12 to 48 hours. X-Ray appearance shows the typical signs of thehemophylic artropaty. The optical microscopical examination showed synovial lessions, cartilage alterations which reached the point of total desintegration and also in the begining in subchondral bone isquemic changes. There is a close relationship between the produced lesions and the lasting of hyper-pressure of the hemartros into the joint. The findings of great vessels dilatationes and cysts into subchondral bone could suggest an explanation for the appearance of subchondral bone cysts in haemophylic artropaty.
