Resultados clínicos-radiográficos finales del tratamiento de las fracturas del tercio distal del fémur y del tercio proximal de la tibia

31 patients with intraor extra-articular fractures of the third femur distal and third tibial proximal, treated by means of a «conforming» functional cast type QTB cast brace, are analysed. The consolidation of the bone took a period of 10 and 8,7 weeks in the femur and tibia fractures respectively. The final x-rays confirm that it is the prime fracture area for this method. We extend the application of this method to the femoral supracondylar osteotomy or tibial supratuberosity in orthopaedic deformities.
