The non-union after fractures of tbe femur and tibia treated from 1972 until 1978 in the General and Clinic Hospital of Tenerife (Canary Islands) are reported. An statistical analysis was made according to the factors of age, sex, fracture level, fracture type, sepsis and evolution. Tbe X2 test without Yates' correction was used.
