Resumen (ES)

The common ethiology of spasticity, suitable for surgery, is reviewed. The rehabilitation and the use of miorelaxant drugs is tbe best treatment for initial manifestations. The usual surgical tecniques are: Radicotomy, mieloptomy, talamotomy and dentante nucleos lesions. Their results are considered from each individual case, the most suitable for surgical treatment are the limitedcases.
