The etiology, natural history, clinical aspects, X-Ray diagnosis and treatment of the slipped capital femoral epiphysis are considered reported by the author's experience.There are two stages: the former is the simple «epiphysiolisis» whose pathological basis consists of sorne changes in the grown cartilage; the latterhaving epiphysis sliding; «epiphysiolisthesis».45 affected hips which were treated will be analized and an extensive bibliography has been collected.Key words: Slipped capital femoral epiphysis. Adolescent coxa vara. Epiphysiolisis upper femoral. Epiphysiolisthesis upper femoral.
