Resumen (ES)
Thirty fractures of the femoral neck which were treated by sustitutive Thompson protesis were studied to confront the initial radiological appearance of the line of fracture with the findings of the operation, in order to show the helicoidal type of the fracture in all cases, which suggets the role of the torsion stress in its mechanism.
