The effects of synovectomy upon the inmature rabbit''s articular cartilage hevebeen studied. The present work consists of 5 series: On the first one the Inetachromatic changes of cartilage matrix were studied. The second series dealt with synovial membrane regeneration. The cualitative changes of S35 cartilage uptake were the subject of the third series and cuantitative measurement of these changes was undertaken on the fourth series. The fifth series studied the pathways of S35 inside the postsynovectomy chondrocite.
