Resumen (ES)
Fourteen cases of Osteoid Osteoma have collected in the Faculty of Medicine of Valencia during the period of 1970/75. All tumors were removed and theirclínical and radiological diagnosis were confirmed by the histological findings. We emphasize the possibility of a delayed diagnosis. The histology showed amyelinic nervous fibers near the nidus of the tumor. The pain would be due to irritation of these nervous fibers in relation to the changes of intratumoral pressure or to their inclusion in the calcification focus itself.
