Twenty five cases have been examined and presented, of various ages, affected with dismetry of the inferior extremitys secondary to poliomielitis, treatedwith the Anderson-Mitchell tecnique of elongation of the tibia. In the revision we have anylized the types of osteotomy, the association or no of decortication or other interventions (simultaneous muscular elongation).Our researsh coincides with the statistics of other authors. This intervention show how an sugical intervention with complications is not unimportantin which we are reminded of the necessity of daily strict vigilance.
