Resumen (ES)

12 cases of septic arthritis in infancy and childhood have been revised. The importance and difficulty of early diagnosis, mainty at the hip, has been stressed. Septic arthritis of the hip joint has a bad prognosis. A study of the ear1y treatment of the hip disease, as well as the managen1ent of its secuelae has been made. The good result of the a case treated by means of the Weissman operation, as a stabilizing procedure, has been pointed out.
