Since JAFFE'S (1958) description of the Justacortical Chondrosarcoma, few cases, no more than 12, have been reported so far.The authors report a case in a woman 23 years old whose tumor was localised on the upper end of the right humerus. The clinical, radiological and histological findings were quite characteristic. It is the first case treated by resection followed by Arthroplasty of total shoulder replacement. The last follow up, 3 year after operation, was quite satisfactory.It is the first case studied by electron microscopy which proved the origin of the tumor's cells from the chondrogenic mesenchimal cells with progresive evolution to segregate proteinglicans in the intercells groundsubstance.
