A series of 161 cases of shoulder impingement
syndrome treated surgically by means of open acromíoplasty
is presented. The results of this treatment are good generally.
There are analyzed the díverse surgical factors that have infiuenced
the quality of the results. The authors observe that
the size of the tear of the rotator cuff can ¡nfluence clearly in
the evolution of the patients. Also it ¡nfluences the result the
excisión of the distal part of the clavicle and the early physiotherapy
after the surgícal treatment.
