An historial review of the techniques of Athrodesis of the hip and their faHures is performed.The authors experienee along the period 1958-1979 in 110 patiens, 52 male and 58 female, of average age 45 years, operated following different teehniques is analyzed.In the last 10 eases the A.O. teehnique with internal fixation by eompression was the eleetion, obtaining the best results.The most frequent eomplieations in the eaeh teehnique are diseussed aeeordingly to the authors experienee.
