100 cases operated of dyséal hernia along the period 1970/72 were studied in order to test the residual mobility of the lumbar spine, using the radiographic method describeb by HANLEY and MATTERT (1975). In aH cases the discectomy decreased the mobility of the lumbar spine area and also of the intervertebral space.The authors consider aH lumber spine factos previously to operation: Spondylosis, congenital deformities, and so on., as weH as the surgical approach, number of explored spaces, etc.The statistical conclusion shows the significative dicrease of the mobility when the results were satisfactory.
