Resumen (ES)

The author reports his experience on 50 non-cemented total hip replacements prothesisfol1owing the MitteImeier's surgical technique and model and using a personal elinic formoA survey of the bibliography on non cemented prothesis is reported.The conelusions are: The elinical results with the Mittelmeier's technique are similarto those obtained with other non-cemented prothesis.
A possible loosening will be expected along the 1st year after operation. The reabsortionof the neck, when it appears, is progressive. The gait and mobility are affected.The examination with scaning is not demonstrative of loosening, meaning only aboneblood supply, However, a positive scaning after 18 months suggests loosening. Usuallythe patient complains of pain in the tight and with weight-bearing.Finally, the author advisas the using of the smallest size socket while the femoral componentshould be as big as possible.
