Estudio estadístico-epidemiológico de las fracturas diafisarias de fémur a lo largo de 10 años.

Resumen (ES)

An epldemlologlc analysis ls made of306 patlents with diaphysial femur fractures attended between 1977 and 1986, and the authors have refered In the final results only to the 228 cases wlth a complete contlnuatlon. Trafllc accldents have been the principal cause of injury (76'8%), and the greatest incldence was In men of 15-25 years. Open fractures acconted for 14'7%, and there was only 3'7% ofneurovascular troubles. Surglcal treatment was carrlcd out In 70% of the cases, bloodlcss treatment In 20'5%, and in the remalning (9'5 %) no definitive treatrnent was made because they were moved the other hospltals. In endomedullar pinnings support is permltted 32'3 days after operatlng, and In ostheosyntesis with plates 82'3 days after. 58'8% of the patlents were cured definltlvely between 6 and 8 months añer. The complete result followlng the crlterlons ofDENKER and CONNOLLY was good In  85'9%, regular In 11'8%, and bad In 1'3%.
