Alcoholism ls the prhnary cause ofmorbidity in the world, posing an important problem for publlc health, ConscquenUy, alcohollc abuse is related to a great number of pathologles; so that patlentswho sufTerfrom them undergo a worse evolution ofthelr lllness and unexpected eompllcattons. Cephalic Femoral Necrosis (CFN) ls one of these pathologies. The authors have 2Spatlents afected by CFN in order to evaluate this poor evolution and this consequences.They ha veanalysed thcir alcoholic hablts, and both length ofhospital stay and compllcations. Analltycal explorations Included: aspartate amlnotransferase, erythrocyte corpuscular volume, gammaglutamyUranspeptldase, Al and B apolipoprotelns, cholesterol etc. The authors have fount that sorne patlens have thelr blologlcal markers for the detection of alcoholism, elevated,They have also notlced relationship between alcoholic abuse and the increase in average hospital stay as well as post-operatlve compllcatlons and the consequentrlse social cost.
