Thcre is controversy about treatment and there arenot correlation betwecn clinical sintoms and objetive findings when thcre are, as dysplasia,patelar instability, osteochondral lesions, etc.the authors reviewed blomechanical, metabolic, dcgenerativc and dcgcnerativc and painconcepts at a rational protocol of conservatlve managment during 3 to 6 months with,cryotherapy, salicylates, glycosaminoglycans by parentcral way, muscular potentiation andphysical therapy.In 2/3 ofpatients, the syntoms dlsappeared, l/S hnproved and in l/S without effect. In thclast group, relapses and objetive findings, were indications for surgcry (15-20% of cases).
