The authors carry out an experimental study to evaluate the replacementof the medial meniscus in the rat knee by auricularperichondrial grafts (simple or plicated).This bring about a reparativereplay with formation of cartilage tissue.When the perichondrial graft was used at the plicated form, itcould keep out two kinds of neoformated cartilage; the firstappeared in the most internal stratum of t h e perichondrium; thesecond type was found in the withdrawal zone of it. The possibleorigen of the neocartilage form is discussed.
