The ischaemic necrosis of the femoral head (INFH) offers difficultiesin the diagnosis when radiological signs have not appeared yet. Actually, theMagnetic Resonance Imaging, the Scintigraphy and the Functional Exploration ofthe Bone are being accepted as the most adecuate methods in the early diagnosis. Theauthors present an analysis about the utility of those and other methods of diagnosisused in the INFH, no forgetting some basic aspects like the symptomatology or theradiology.
