A great deal of new information about healing, biomechanics, surgical managementand post-repair mobility programmes of flexor tendons has been accumulated in recent years.This fact has modified both therapeutical approach and results of flexor tendon injuries. Thispaper reviews many of those new concepts in order to avoid common errors in clinical practice.The aim of this up-dated work is to offer an answer to most of the outlined questions inthis subject, pointing at those methods of treatment which provide best results at the present moment.
