Resumen (ES)

Biomechanic properties of tendons and ligaments are considered one of themost important issue in determining the efficiency of a graft. The present study evaluates themechanical behavior of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and the patellar tendon (bone-PT-bone) of the sheep used as autograft and fresh frozen allograft at different postoperativeperiods. The maximum load at 8 month was 48% in the autograft group and 5 3% in the allograftgroup as compared to the control ACL. At 12 month, maximum load was 55% and 71% respectively. The results indicates that 12 month after grafting there is an evident difference in resistanceto traction between normal ACL and the grafts.
