Parálisis espontánea del nervio interóseo posterior del antebrazo. Presentación de dos casos y revisión de la literatura

The authors present two cases of paralysis of the posterior interoseous nerve of the forearm, the etiology of which was due to compression by a parosteal lipoma oí the superior extremity of the radius. In the other case it was very probably due to compression of the nerve by the tense edge of the extensor carpi radialis brevis muscle. The approach and surgical freeing of the posterior interosseous nerve cured the patients. We take this opportunity to review the literature on this rare paralysis, with special reference to the etiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects.
